Here is a little photo tutorial on trace (or transfer) monotype printmaking. Recently, Chris and I were in Barbados showing some of the local artists some monotype techniques.
This technique is one of my favourites and does not need the use of a press- so great for lots of people.

I did use the press at the end, because I do like to finish things off with chine collé.
Two wonderful contemporary artists to look up who do wonderful work in trace monotype are Jessica Mills and Joyce Silverstone.
