Good Times in BC

My sister graduated from Naturapathic Medicine in Vancouver this Summer and my family decided to celebrate with her. We are so proud of all the hard work she has done and know that now, lots of lucky people will get her attention and expert care. Along with all the celebrating, family visiting, eating, drinking and catching up we managed to do some sight seeing, gallery going and even got to take in some cottage life with Lynn and her family at Shuswap lake. Lots of good times! We were spoiled rotten and loved every minute of it.  Art wise, we saw lots of wonderful things, but two that stood out were the Geoffrey Farmer show at the Vancouver Art Gallery and a group show with work by a Guelph artist who is studying at University of Victoria right now, Rachel Vanderzwet.
Here are a few shots of things I liked. There were many more...mostly family, trees and plants, but I had to edit.

I was very curious about this place...but we ran out of time

The local pool hall, guys and dolls. Mostly guys.
Great little hideaway for margaritas and pictionary.

We were guests at the sea to sky gondola in Sqwamish. Here we celebrated some more and enjoyed the gorgeous views.

one lucky teenager's cool school bus apartment near a refreshing river

Beating the heat at Jericho Beach. It was super hot (for Vancouver) the whole time we were there and shockingly, no rain at all. The forest fires started raging near the end of our stay.

Lovely walk in the woods with family in Coquitlam. Lots of catching up and good times with everyone here. Wish we were all a bit closer.

Enjoyed a few days of lazy break as lucky guests on beautiful Shuswap lake
