Santa is coming to Guelph

Tomorrow Santa Claus is coming to Guelph in his annual parade through our lovely downtown. This year there have been some changes to who and what will accompany him in the celebrations and one of the new floats will feature Wyndham Art Supplies, Guelph School of Art, Creativity Greenhouse and Children's Art Factory Lots of exciting new things to see and hear on Sunday, starting at 1:30pm. Here is the link to the downtown board where you can find a map and more details.
Here are a few sneak peek photos of the float making in progress.
this is not the float but a snap of the store front with out the leaves on the tree. for comparison
figuring out how to attach all the bits and pieces
lots of work by lots of wonderful people and some very late nights in the warehouse

Maybe because this year we are participating in the parade I am more aware of what I have heard about parades in other cities.  Two very creative small communities keep coming up in conversations.
Elora has a well known and loved Santa Claus parade of lights on November 24th and I hear lots of praise for Bloomfield in Prince Edward County with their festival of lights on the 23rd.  Maybe this year Guelph can get a cheer and perhaps more of our talented city will be inspired to get involved next year.
